An annual garden walk to showcase the gardens in the University District and neighborhoods surrounding the University at Buffalo's South Campus. The walk, which was named after the first salaried chancellor at the University at Buffalo, began in 2002 with 24 gardens as a way to encourage neighborhood beautification. The free, self-guided tour now boasts more than 70 gardens.
The Next Samuel P. Capen Garden Walk will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
