The New York Power Authority (NYPA) Power Project Visitors Center (also known as the Power Vista) houses more than 50 interactive exhibits plus an observation deck overlooking the Niagara Gorge. Several programs per year educate visitors of all ages about hydroelectricity, energy and environmental issues.

UHAA Festival: Look for the NYPA Power Vista booth at the annual UHAA festival.
Special Events: The UHAA and the Power Vista regularly collaborate to produce arts-related events including: Every Day is Earth Day Sculpture Competition, 50th Anniversary Time Capsule project, and The Festival of Trees.

Members of the University Heights Arts Associaiton designed
"Recycled Robot" sculptures as part of the
Power Vista's annual
"Earth Day is Every Day"event. A satellite robot
sculpture project was held at the Gloria J. Parks
Community Center as part of their After School program.
The Buffalo Society of Artists assisted with
the Recycled Robots project held at the
Power Vista.
Visitors sign a card in honor of the 50th Anniversary
of the Power Vista. The card will be included in a time
capsule that will be buried beneath an addition to
the Power Vista Visitors location. The time capsule,
designed and fabricated by UHAA co-founder Lawrene Kinney,
includes documentation of the UHAA, which formed in the same
year as the 50th anniversary (2013).
It also includes
writing and music by UHAA artists.
Each year, the NYPA Power Vista hosts a Festival of Trees as
part of its month long holiday celebration. Each tree represents a
different community resource. The UHAA will host a tree.
Lawrence Kinney serves as juror of the
annual "Every Day is Earth Day" sculpture competition.
The competition is open to the general public. The UHAA offers
University District children
materials and assistance
with participation in this event.
