Sylvia Kleindinst's art includes collage, fashion illustrion, drawings and painting.  In her own words:

"My interest in art goes back to childhood with a special focus on drawing fashions from movies. I went on to college and studied art education and received a BA degree from Western State College in Gunnison,CO. After a few years to start a family of three children, I did begin my teaching career at the campus school in Brockport,NY and Spencerport,NY. After moving to Buffalo, I received an MS degree from Buffalo State and an MA degree in Humanities from the Uni. Of Buffalo. My teaching years were at Lancaster Central School in elementary art.

    My personal art has gone through various periods with drawing paper doll sets and collecting older sets for nearly 40 years.  I have also used vintage photos as inspiration for drawings, paintings and collage. I like making books, using mixed media for altered books and collage. Also, I have used Photoshop for digital art and use old photos as part of my work there as well. The work for this show is both pencil drawings and some digital art and all makes use of vintage photographs."
