Linear Park, of the University District of Buffalo is a Rails to Trails location. Director Cassandra Hayes has led an effort to convert the former railway location to a a formal park setting since 2006. Just a few blocks from Main Street, the park runs along the West side of Main Street, from approximately Custer Street to Seattle Street. The park will be the future site of community activities.
Linear Park events will be posted on the UHAA Onstage newsfeed as they occur.
Linear Park works with the UHAA to develop posters, slide shows and other media to advertise events at the park.
Look for public art initiatives involving Linear Park and the UHAA.
Open to public for walking.

Students of the University at Buffalo work with the University Heights Tool Library to keep the park clean.
Moisture gathers in an area of the
park that will be developed
into a properly drained walkway and bike path.
A host of students helped to clear debris and weeds from Linear Park as part of UB Community Day, held on April 12, 2014. The photographs for this event were taken by members of the UB Office of Community Relations, which helps to coordinate community events involving students.
Students of the University at Buffalo regularly assist with maintaining Linear Park through events such as UB Med Day and UB Community Day.
