A self-taught artist. Gary Appis was born in Rochester, New York and raised in Scottsville, New York. A resident of Batavia, New York for the last seventeen years, he has been painting for the last ten years. The beauty of the American countryside has been the inspiration for his rural landscape paintings. As an artist, he wants to show his ability to interpret the colors of nature and landscapes for other people to enjoy.

Gary has produced dozens of paintings which he currently exhibits in Batavia and Western New York.

UHAA:

Gary participates in the ARTiculations Ability Exhibitions program, along with other ARTpartnering exhibitions. He is part of a two person invitational exhibition at the Independent Living Center of Batavia, along with artist Timothy Langsfield titled, "Faces and Places". That exhibition runs from September 5-December 2, 2017.
